wheeee` internet! yesterday there was internet problems around the area Im living and no one had connection. And over the weekend I was in Mysore (the second largest city in Karnataka state...after Bangalore). Mysore is one of the hometown of one of the Parikrmas staff, Kachana so we stayed with her family. They were amazingy hospitable. On Saturday we walked around Mysore and visited the markets. I brought mum incense sticks and oil perfumes both of which is famous there. We also went inside the Mysore Palace. Its huge. I dont have my camera on me to post the photos here, but click here.

On Sunday, Kachana took us to a series of attractions from temples to bird sanctary to summer palaces. Her mum, who is an awesome cook, packed a picnic for us. Because her family is from Tamil Nadu, they cook heaps of dosas (which I love) and idlis. Mmmm I already know im going to miss eating Indian food when I leave. Eating with my hand is no longer a foreign idea to me. Anyways, I was so exhausted i decided to catch an earlier bus on Sunday night. The other reason is I am not a morning person...! I did not want to wake up at 5am (!) on Monday morning to make it back to school on time. I need a nice long sleep especially since Steph, Thomas and I were giving a presentation at St Joseph College of Commerce that Monday afternoon. The presentation went better that we thought. We got a great response from the audience and the principal had invited us back to give a similar presentation to the other half of the college! soo yippee.

The rest of this week is going to busy busy because Stephanie is leaving India on Friday so Im accompanying on her last visits to Hope Home on Wed night, Sumangali orphanage on Thurs arvo, some temple she wants to see on Thursday too and finally her last dinner in the MG area on Thursday night. Today we are going to commercial street to get some gifts for her family and then all the volunteers are meeting up to watch Veer Zara. My first Hindi movie! im excited...i hope I understand it...lols. Oh yea on Thursday morning we are having Parikrmas Mini-Olympics!! I will take heaps of photos and try to post it here.
