yay time for a quick entry. Merry Christmas everyone!! a little early but I know I wont have a chance to go on the net over the weekend. I say each day is so busy but honestly I felt the last four days has topped them all. We were up to our heads doing Christmas decorations. Im not going to be modest about this; I am an expert holly leaf cutter. lols. We spent Monday and Tuesday doing preparations for the half-day Christmas programmes on Wednesday and today. The school had invited some business people from donor companies for this Christmas show as a gesture of gratitude. When they sang and performed on Wednesday I had this permanent grin on my face. I felt immensely proud of the kids. I dont know how to put it into words but these kids have become like my own children. When I saw them up there dancing and singing I was so happy. And the funny thing is the first thought that came to my mind was my dad who loved to carry his video camera and tape me when I had some Christmas school performance. Now I feel I understand a bit of how parents feel. The extent of love they have for their children. Its amazing. lol I remember those times when I was embarassed because my dad would photograph/tape everything...and now its like that is exactly what I want to do with these kids. So the next time my daddy brings his video cam which is probably my graduation ceremony, Ill be giving him one big wet kiss on the cheek. lols. One thing that stands out about these kids is they love being photographed. You should seem them clammering all over each other to get in the photograph. I thought initially its because to them cameras are a novel thing. But after a while I see that these kids yearn for love and when they are photographed they feel loved, remembered, identified....

Today after school, all the volunteers went to Hope Home for a Christmas party! It was mad. We spent the first half hour decorating the house. I brought a small Christmas tree, crepe paper, balloons, some other materials and this cute Jesus in the manger set. We had so much fun decorating. I brought the wrong balloons...when we blew them up they were in a heart shape! I was so suprirsed. But I guess its okay cos Christmas is all about God love and grace :) Afterwards we had chips, German christmas cake (Thomas parents sent him some goodies from Germany), and soda. Then we played Pass a Parcel and Bob the Pears (not apples)! It was soo fun. I have some classic shots of them with their entire head dripping with water. I will definitely post them up! aiyo I need to get off the net now. Im leaving on a bus in less than an hour to Hampi where I will be spending Christmas. Cheerios.
